Dear Grown ups,
Time flies faster and faster as your student gets older. We can hardly believe that we are in our last month of the school year already! The last day of school for students is Wednesday, May 21st. That is an early release day for students!
Please watch the upcoming events and field trips lists closely as well as any information coming from home regarding the multiple learning experiences and hands on field trips the students will be partaking in.
Congratulations to all the students and teachers for their hard work to achieve great things on their ISAT state test (and Istation each month). You all did awesome and are growing, learning, and showing what you know with a rate of high success. Continue to push yourself and there will be no limits to what you can do! Horizon absolutely knocked it out of the park with their student growth! Keep it up we are all so very proud of you and your hard work.
Sincerely,
Jill Taylor
Principal
Amber Boone
Vice Principal

Dress Code Reminder:
With the warm days please be sure your
student is dressing to meet the standards in the handbook please:
Failure to do so will result in a call home
for parents to bring appropriate clothing for their student to wear.

NO Shorty shorts or little bike shorts (Think athletic shorts instead)
NO Spaghetti straps (Straps must be at LEAST 2 adult fingers wide)

If you are wearing sandels (they should fit and be comfy)
be sure to have tennis shoes for PE.
NO hats inside school (recess/outside is fine)
As always NO inappropriate slogans
ALSO...Keep in mind
Smart watches MUST be in school mode or turned off.
They will be asked to put them in their backpacks if they are using them for social media or are a distraction (none allowed during testing)
AVOID jewelry as we are not responsible for lost or broken things
NO Pokemon or Trading cards
Keep all toys, sports equipment etc. at home
as they can easily be lost or broken
NO cellphones to be used in school
(If absolutely necessary to they must be OFF and in backpack-ONLY )
LOST and FOUND
Will be donated soon!
PLEASE come in and see if your student
left anything of theirs during the school year
and take it home before it's gone.

Attendance is still very important
until the end of the school year!
We continue to learn both in the classroom and with hands on activities and field trips connected to all the learning right up until the end.
