At Jerome High School, we believe in empowering every student—whether they shine in

the classroom, on stage, on the football field, or on the farm field. One of the many impactful programs on our campus is our FFA (Future Farmers of America) program. With hands-on learning, leadership development, and real-world skill-building at its core, our FFA program is preparing students not just for graduation, but for life.
Here’s a closer look at what our FFA program has accomplished this year—and why it deserves to be celebrated:

National and State Recognition
14th in the Nation: Our Dairy Team placed 14th at the national level—a tremendous achievement!
1 American Degree Recipient: This is FFA’s highest honor, awarded to only a select few nationwide.
State Awards Galore:
5 students earned the Idaho State FFA Degree—an award achieved by just 6% of Idaho FFA members.
Our Poultry Team brought home 2nd place in the state.
We have the State Champion Spanish Creed Speaker.
Representation in the State Courtesy Corps and FFA delegates at multiple events.

Real-World Economic Impact
Our students don’t just learn—they produce and give back.
In 2024, JHS and JMS students generated $181,448 through their Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) projects.
Their volunteer hours and reinvestment added an additional $89,494 of value to our local community.
A Program Built on Purpose and Passion
FFA members participate in 32 Career Development and Leadership Events across the school year—many of which require travel, coaching, and competition on evenings, weekends, and during breaks.
FFA members engage in community service like city cleanups, blanket tying, and education days at all Jerome elementary schools.
Students are also required to complete SAE projects that align with real agricultural practices!
Our Ag teachers go above and beyond, managing greenhouses, shops, and animal facilities—often on their own time. Because of their dedication, the JHS FFA program is more than blue jackets and livestock shows—it's a launchpad for careers, a platform for leadership, and a powerhouse of student achievement. We’re proud of our ag students and teachers and excited to see how they continue to grow and lead in our school and community.
Thank you all for your continued support for all students in all programs—and celebrating the great things happening at Jerome High School every day.
