**Students: before school in the morning, 6th graders need to only enter the

building through the 6 th grade doors, 8th graders through the 8th grade doors

and 7th grade through the Art Room doors.

**During lunch, each table will now clean their own table before the table is

dismissed outside. Remember, all students need to go outside at the end of

lunch to re-enter the building.

**During lunch, when the first group is ready to go outside, they will start

going once their table is cleaned off and it’s close to switching time. No

more lining up and waiting for the outside to be ready.

We are excited to let you know that JMS has purchased a new skateboard

and scooter rack for students! Once it is installed outside, ALL

skateboards and scooters will need to be stored there during the school

day. Here is what students need to know:

** Students will need to bring their own lock to keep their

scooter or skateboard safe.

**Scooter and skateboards will NO LONGER be kept inside

the school building

We are thrilled to provide this safe and organized space for our students’

scooters and skateboards, and we appreciate your support in reminding

them to come prepared with a lock once the rack is ready.

The JMS Robotics Club will be starting soon. If you are interested, please

pick up an application from the office. You will need to have a teacher’s

recommendation and write a letter saying why you are interested in being

in robotics. Space is limited and you will be responsible for your own

transportation. These are due back before October 10 th .

It’s here!!! Stop by the library because the Idaho Teen Reading

Challenge begins on October 1. New this year, in conjunction with the

ITRC, is the Digital Badge Art Contest sponsored by the Idaho

Commission for Libraries. Watch for the e-mail coming from the library

with more information and a video link for your classroom.

School pictures have arrived, they will be handed out before and after

school. Remember this is only if you purchased pictures.

Girls basketball tryouts will be held Monday and Tuesday, October 13 and

14. 8 th grade will tryout at 6:00AM and 7 th grade will tryout after school.

Both grades will be in JMS gym.

Wrestling will begin practice on October 13 th . Girls will practice at 6:00AM

and boys will practice after school. All practices will be in the mat room.

Jerome Middle School Bowling Club will be starting on October 25 th , 9:00am

at the Tiger Zone here in Jerome. Stop by the office Thursday for more

information.

Students: when you use the microwave in the lunch room, if you do not

clean up the inside of the microwave after you use it, it will be removed and

no microwave will be available!

Tigers, JMS has an attendance committee and they are dedicated to making

sure that we see as many Jerome Tigers each week as possible. We love to

see you here! Every Monday, there will be a raffle drawing. If you have

perfect attendance for the previous week, you will be entered to win a prize

on the following Monday. There will be a winner for 6 th , 7 th and 8 th grade.

The more you attend, the more prizes you can win! See you around the

hallways! Be present!
