We are off to a great start this year. We have completed many of our beginning year assessments and screeners. Currently K-3 are completing the State standardized test the Idaho Reading Indicator. WE will share our data with you all as soon as all tests have been completed. Our teachers have been working very hard to align their classroom lessons with the required Idaho Standards. We look forward to meeting with each of you during parent teacher conferences later this month, sign ups coming soon.

Homecoming week is October 6th -10th we will participate in the district-wide dress up themes! Please no face paint or hair dye

Homecoming Parade: Friday, October 10 - Parade starts at 12:45 from the Church north of the High School. Here is a link of the route.
Homecoming Game: Friday, October 10 at 7:00 (Go Tigers!)

Monday (Oct. 6): Super Hero vs. Princess
Tuesday (Oct. 7): Jersey Day (Sports Day) JHS Powder Puff game starts at 6:00
Wednesday (Oct. 8): Dynamic Duo Day (TWIN Day)
Thursday (Oct. 9): Welcome to the Jungle (Safari Day- hiking, backpacking, explorer gear)

Friday (Oct. 10): Orange, Black & White – Show Your Tiger Pride!

Horizon Parent TEAM meeting is October 15th from 5:45p.m.-6:45p.m. in the Horizon library, we hope to see you there, we NEED your input and help.

Fall Parent Teacher Conferences coming this month! We will be doing Parent Teacher Conferences at the end of the first quarter. They will be Tuesday October 21st and Wednesday October 22nd. We will be scheduling these through PTCFast again this year. You can use this link when it is live on Wednesday October 8th!

The Jerome School District provides you with a Parent Access Code and Password. If you do not have this information please ask your student's school. We will be dressing up for Halloween and having classroom parties. For details look for information from your child's teacher. Halloween is Friday October 31st we will be celebrating on this day. Costumes can be worn to school, but students need to be able to function throughout the day IF they are going to wear them all day. Please no face paint, masks, gore, blood, or guts on the costumes students are wearing to school.
