Horizon Happenings

April Newsletter 2025

Happy Spring,

With the coming of Spring weather can be very unpredictable so please plan for the changing weather such as cool mornings, high winds and warm afternoons and dress for outside play accordingly.

It is also the time of year to stop in and check out the ever growing lost and found at school to see if your son or daughter has left any clothing items, water bottles, or other miscellaneous items at school over the past winter months.

With April comes the big ISAT test for our students and it is very important that they attend school, get a good nights sleep and eat right every day to help them to do their best on the test! They have been learning so much and working so hard showing their growth every month and this a perfect way for them to demonstrate what they know.

The end of the school year us a very busy one for everyone. Please view and keep the "upcoming events" handy so you are aware of what exciting things are happening each day at Horizon Elemenentary and plan accordingly as well as watch for information from your student's teacher(s).

We hope you are able to attend our Donuts with Grownups at Horizon before school on the 23rd of April! Come have a donut and drink with your student(s)! This is an easy and awesome way to start the day off with your student!

We are in need of some active parents that want to be part of our fabulous team hear at Horizon and become a member of the Parent Team (Like a PTO but better because we are a team!) The next Parent Meeting will be scheduled soon. Please watch for day and time and sign up! We need you and your ideas. Please consider joining our team.

SIncerely,

Jill Taylor

Principal

Amber Boone

Vice Principal
