Driver Training Education
The District may offer a Driver Training Education Program when staffing and funding are available. Any such
program will be conducted in compliance with all requirements in the Idaho Standards for Public School Driver
Education and Training as approved by the State Board of Education.
Anyone residing in the District between the ages of fourteen and one-half (14 1/2) through twenty-one (21) years
of age, irrespective or whether they are enrolled in the district, are eligible to enroll in the District’s drivers training
program. Such program, in the discretion of the Board, may be conducted after school hours, on Saturdays or
during regular school vacation periods. The District may offer a joint driver training program with other districts.
The purpose of the program is to introduce students to a course of study that leads to the eventual development
of skills appropriate for a licensed driver. The traffic education program is designed to meet the criteria
established by the State Department of Education.
