School Closure
The Jt. Jerome School District No. 261 will not host extra-curricular activities or participate in out of district extra-
curricular activities when classes are not in regular session because of emergency closure during inclement
weather. Students will not participate in out of district activities which may be hosted by other district not in
regular session because of emergency closure during inclement weather. Neither will students participate in
scheduled school sponsored field trips when classes are not in session because of inclement weather.
When the school district cancels classes due to inclement weather conditions, extra-curricular practice sessions
will not be conducted. When circumstances merit, exceptions to this policy may be determined by the building
principal, after conferring with the activities director and approved by the superintendent.
If an exception is made for a practice or other activity to occur, coaches and/or advisors may not require
attendance at such activity. No negative consequences regarding non-attendance shall be implemented by any
coach or advisor.
Extra-curricular practices will not be conducted on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Easter Sunday.
