NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to the patrons of school district No. 261, that a special meeting of the Board of Trustees of said district has called to be held on Sept 6, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. at Jerome School District Administration Offices, 125 4th Avenue West, Jerome. The purpose of the special meeting is:

1. Executive Session (Action)

   1. IC 74-206(1)(b)(d)  – Personnel or Student.(b)To consider the evaluation, dismissal or disciplining of, or to hear complaints or charges brought against, a public officer, employee, staff member or individual agent or public school student; and (d) to consider records that are exempt from disclosure as provided in Chapter 1, Title 74, Idaho Code.

A motion was made by Jeff Schroeder and seconded by Peter Gibbons that the Board of Trustees of Jt. Jerome School District #261 recess into executive session in the manner and for the purpose authorized by Section 74-206(1)(b)(d), Idaho Code, regarding personnel issues involving employees or student issues involving students of the district. The motion passed by roll call vote:

The board recessed into executive session at 12:01 p.m.

The board returned to open session at 12:26 p.m.

2. Consideration of Personnel Executive Item(s) (Action)

A motion was made by Jeff Schroeder and seconded by Liz Bingham to approve the administrative transfers as follows; for Matt Coleman to fill the vacant ELA teaching position at Jerome High School, Stacey Demers-McFarland to be appointed as the new principal of Falls City Academy and continue to run the District Discipline Review Committee, Amber Boone to fill the halftime Assistant Principal position at Jefferson and Horizon Elementaries and Toni Harbaugh to fill the Administrative Supervision of the Jerome Early Education Program building, all effective Monday, September 9th.
