NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to the patrons of school district No. 261, that a special work session  of the Board of Trustees of said district has been called to be held on April 2, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. at Jerome School District Administration Offices, 125 4^th Avenue West, Jerome.

Board of Trustees present: Zone 1 Liz Bingham, Zone 2 Peter Gibbons, Zone 3 Jeff Schroeder, Zone 4 Annette Lott, Zone 5 Staci Leavitt. Others present: Superintendent Brent Johnson, Assistant Superintendent/Curriculum Director Ryan Evans,  District Clerk Jodi Stewart, community members, teachers and staff. Speakers for Audience of Citizens: David Ellis, Jason Stokes.

1. Call to Order 5:00p

Individuals who wish to address the Board of Trustees regarding any action items must sign in prior to the start of the regular board meeting at 5:00 p.m. and placed before each action item on the agenda.

2. Consideration and adoption of a four-day school week calendar for the 2027-28 school year, inclusive of 152 instructional days with no loss of instructional hours, and incorporating 2 (two) monthly PD/teacher work days and 2 (two) monthly mental health days.

A motion was made by Staci Leavitt and seconded by Peter Gibbons to adopt a four-day school week calendar for the 2027-28 school year, inclusive of 152 instructional days with no loss of instructional hours, and incorporating 2 (two) monthly PD/teacher work days and 2 (two) monthly mental health days.  The motion passes by the following:
