Recruitment and Appointment of Superintendent
From time to time, it may be necessary for the Board to recruit and appoint a new Superintendent. When the
Board starts a search for a new Superintendent, it first will construct a set of qualifications and review and
prioritize the functions and the responsibilities it wishes the Superintendent to discharge.
Applicants who can best fulfill the role will be sought both from within the school district and from recognized
educational leaders within the state of Idaho and other adjoining states. The Board will be responsible for
appointing committees to or reserving to themselves the tasks of screening and interviewing qualified applicants.
Selection and appointment of the Superintendent by the Board will result from these actions.
